FLITCH 3 HEYBRIDGE HAWKS 1
Heybridge Hawks travelled to Flitch on a very cold and windy Sunday , and the conditions did not help the football with the pitch slopping from top to bottom goalmouth to goalmouth one way and the wind howling up the other way it made it hard work for both teams .
Heybridge played down the slope to start with and created good passing football which put through William Broughton to slot in the first . Flitch came back strongly and from a number of runs on the right side fired in a wicked cross which was unfortunately knocked in for an own goal never mind and very unlucky there is nothing you can do when running back towards your own goal and try to clear a pinged in cross at speed .Flitch then added another from a corner to take the lead .
Half time and time for a few shuffles Ryan Kennedy played a great game in goal for the first half and came out on the pitch fro the second , Nathan Tipper slotted into the goal and looked solid with some great stops .Defence was solid as ever with Joshua Craven at the back . Midfield worked hard with Charlotte Hayman,Joshua Lille,Liam Kirby,Ryan Jackson and Micheal Biggs .
Toran Hansen worked hard up front with William , and Dan Ashley was switched to a more forward position but it would not just click , we just could not find that pass though to open the Flitch defence .
